Stephane Manel

Since his teenage years, French illustrator Stephane Manel‘s life was dedicated to drawing. When he wasn’t drawing, he was making amateur movies with a friend who shared the same passion of drawing and creating as him. His technique started as rudimentary, but his friend challenged him to be better and vice versa. Manel went on to study art at two different Parisian schools. Now, this isn’t the part of the story where the artist received an amazing education at the most renowned art schools in the world and went on to be an amazing illustrator. This is the part of the story where the artist got bored at school, dropped out* and started partying, and met his current professional contacts during this party stage in his life to propel him into becoming an amazing illustrator.

Manel has illustrated the covers of Vogue and Elle Magazine and has illustrated album covers for Sebastian Tellier, Chromeo, and Pacific!. He’s also illustrated and directed music videos for the latter bands.

*Disclaimer: Metropark or Sound Off does not condone dropping out of school, but does condone doing what you love, are good at and following your dreams to become successful, like Stephane Manel.

Hi, just to tell you that Stephane Manel is a man not a woman. It’s Stephane not Stephanie! Sincerly Yours.
