RIVERA & RIVERA is pleased to announce a new floor-to-ceiling installation piece by international graffiti artist RETNA. RETNA’s installation which spans a 25 foot high wall and carpets the floor entices and envelops viewers in a black and white web of text.

The installation explores the complex nature of a fluid lexicon derived from a multitude of sources including hieroglyphics and street tagging. RETNA’s original typography is based on the Latin alphabet, and can be decoded and translated to read messages in English or Spanish.

RETNA’s work is featured around the world—his collaborative murals can be seen on the streets of Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Miami, New York, Mexico City, Barcelona and Milan. His most recent exhibitions include showing at Volta Basel in Switzerland, Desaturated at New Image, and the Los Angeles Art Show. This is the final show at RIVERA & RIVERA’s South Park location.

Please look for our new location in the Gallery District of downtown Los Angeles, set to open in the fall.
